Koh Tha Rai in the northern part of the Khanom Sea Near the end of the province of Changwat Nakhon Si Thammarat, the island where Rai is a small island. It is an area in Hat Khanom-Mu Ko Thale Tai National Park.

 

The highlight of Koh Tha Rai is that there is a large stone terrace under the cave shed with staggered cliffs in the background. It looks like a music stage So it's called the Phum Phuang Stage. The stone courtyard and the rock cliff look like a folded cloth rock, a strange feature that can be seen from the Khanom Sea, the only place in Thailand.

 

Koh Tha Rai, although it's just a small island, has a variety of sea grasses. which found all 4 types together, namely, long-leafed grass Enhalusacoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, Halodule uninervis, and kaffir lime leaves. Halophilaovalis We will find seagrass lines parallel to the coast of the island and find various kinds of marine life such as shrimp, shellfish, crabs and fish, hiding in the grass which is rich in abundance. Still remaining to be seen at this island of Tha Rai.

 

Although the seagrass line at Koh Tha Rai is not very large when compared to many areas. But these seagrass are also important in marine ecosystems. It is also a small starting point. in learning the relationship of living things and learn to conserve these marine resources forever

 

Koh Tha Rai is still in the way of feeding dolphins. inhabitants of this sea Therefore, tourists can travel to Tha Rai Island from the Khanom Sea - Dolphin Watching Program. which is provided by community tourism groups Laem Prathap local fishery and the coastal fishery group Rak Ban Ban (Ao Khwaeng Phao)
