Wat Ban Pho It is a temple of the Mahanikaya sect located on the banks of the Bang Pakong River in Khlong Ban Pho Subdistrict, Ban Pho District, Chachoengsao Province. The current abbot of the temple is named Phra Palat Saphang Thanawaro.
Wat Ban Pho was granted permission to establish a temple (build a temple) in 1780 and received the royal charter of the boundary markers on January 15, 1970. The name of the person who gave the land to establish the temple is unknown.
The important buildings include the Sala Karn Parian, the monks’ huts, and the Ubosot, which contain murals depicting the life story of the Lord Buddha. There is a two-and-a-half-story building for studying Buddhist scriptures, made of cement and built in 1937. The temple has also built the largest Luang Pu Thuat Park (walking on fresh sea water) in the eastern region. When the large Luang Pu Thuat statue was first built, Only the head was built in 2011. Later, it was placed in the middle of the temple grounds for more than 3 years. Later, the construction of the entire statue was completed. It is 26 meters high.
