Wat Sri Ubon Rattanaram (Wat Si Thong) Located on the south side of the City Hall, Uparat Road, built in 1855, this temple has an ordination hall built in the style of the Ubosot of Wat Benchamabophit, Bangkok, where the Buddha image of the city is enshrined, namely, “Phra Kaew Topsarakam”. Mara Wichai, Chiang Saen period, carved from topaz glass.
According to legend, Phra Worarat Phakdi (Phra Wa) along with his sons are Thao Kham Phong, Thao Thit Phrom, and Thao Kam. Founding Fathers of Ubon Ratchathani had brought Phra Kaeo topaz from Krung Sri Satana Khon Hut (Vientiane) Originally, Phra Kaew Topaz was enshrined at Ban Don Mod Daeng. and was summoned to be enshrined at Wat Si Ubon Rattanaram later.

At present, in the Songkran festival every year Ubon Ratchathani people will join together to bring Phra Kaew topaz to parade around Ubon Ratchathani. to provide opportunities for Buddhists to worship and bathing together Open for worship every day from 04.30-22.00.
