Thai Song Dam (Thai traditional tribe who wears black cotton customs) lives at Moo.2 Baan Pai-Singh sub-district where the ancestors claimed that there were a large number of bamboos (Pai) in this area with a plenty of wildlife.

There was a hunter named “Singh” who was the first person claimed this village as his residence. Then Grandfather “Pak” and Grandmother “Choi” who were Mon people ( Mon is a Burmese local tribe who emigrated to live in Thailand for hundreds years ago) moved to Baan Pai-Singh from Kok-toom village where located in Petchaburi province and built a residence living as a neighborhood of “Singh” the hunter.

Later Mon people moved and lived here increasingly until now. They are still recognizing of their own ancient traditions as customs, earthenware industry and some of cultural events. For more information, contact number 089-5689399 (Baan Pai-Singh School).
