Por Pu Sam Roi Yot Shrine is located at Wat Tri Sata Koot, also known as "Wat Sam Roi Yot," a sacred site in the Sam Roi Yot District of Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. The shrine houses a statue of Por Pu Sam Roi Yot, a revered spiritual figure who has been honored by the locals and visitors for many years.

The original location of Wat Tri Sata Koot was to the west of its current site, about 5 "sen" (a traditional unit of measurement). However, due to the unsuitable land for building a temple, the local community, led by Mr. Phan Yongkong, worked to find a more appropriate location. Mr. Phong Chanchuklin and Mrs. Phai Chanchuklin donated the land, allowing the temple to be relocated to its current position.

The construction of the temple began around 1937 but faced several challenges, including the arid and undeveloped nature of the land. Despite these obstacles, with the leadership of Phra Ajarn Nimm Thammassaro, the temple was completed. In 1939, the first monk’s residence, built in a traditional Thai style, was completed, and official permission to establish the temple was granted in 1940. In 1941, the Ministry of Education officially recognized the temple and named it "Wat Tri Sata Koot."

Today, Wat Tri Sata Koot covers an area of 62 rai (24 acres), which includes monk’s residences, the ordination hall (Ubosot), a sermon hall (Sala Kham), and a museum displaying ancient local art and artifacts. The temple also serves as a community learning center for residents of Rai Khao Subdistrict. Furthermore, the temple has a herbal garden that preserves rare plant species for research and conservation.

Por Pu Sam Roi Yot is deeply respected and revered as a figure of righteousness and prosperity. The locals have a strong belief in his spiritual power, and it is said that his spirit can possess the body of Nang Thongkham Kongpet, a local woman, who then delivers blessings and guidance to those seeking a better life. The statue of Por Pu Sam Roi Yot depicts an elderly Chinese man with a long beard, sitting with his right hand resting on his right knee and his left hand resting on his left knee, with only three fingers visible, symbolizing purity and sacredness.

The shrine is a place where both local residents and visitors come to pay respects, seeking blessings for success and prosperity. Every year, during mid-March, a festival is held to honor Por Pu Sam Roi Yot, drawing people from far and wide to ask for guidance and blessings for a prosperous life. The shrine is known as a sacred site where people can pray for good fortune and well-being.

For those visiting Sam Roi Yot, the Por Pu Sam Roi Yot Shrine is an important stop to offer prayers and receive blessings for health, wealth, and happiness.
