Wat Suttharam Bang Lam Phu Lang, Klong San, Bangkok. Wat Suttharam is a private temple under the Maha Nikaya sect, situated along the Khlong Bang Sai Kai in Bang Lamphu Lang Subdistrict, Khlong San District, Bangkok. The temple is renowned for its sacred Luang Pho Chim, a revered Buddha image over 200 years old, and for housing one of the largest statues of Thao Wessuwan (Vesavana). Visitors can also explore its ancient artifact museum, which showcases the temple's rich history. The current abbot is Phra Phisan Prachanart (Dhanai Attabhaddho).

Historical Background Wat Suttharam is an ancient temple believed to have been established during the Ayutthaya period. Officially, it was founded in 1868 (B.E. 2411) and was granted Wisungkhamasima on March 10, 1927 (B.E. 2470). While its origins date back centuries, much of the temple's structures have been restored over time. Both the vihara and the ordination hall face Khlong Bang Sai Kai, oriented westward.

The temple houses numerous historical artifacts, although some have unfortunately been lost to theft over the years. Among the remaining treasures are: Buddha images in various postures, Antique dishes and pedestals
Carved wooden objects, Amulets, Pod Duang coins (ancient Thai currency).

In 2004 (B.E. 2547), the temple established the Sri Rattanakosin Foundation, under the patronage of Princess Bejaratana Rajasuda Sirisobhabannavadi. This foundation operates independently from the monks' quarters. The foundation's building, marked with its name, serves as a dedicated facility providing dialysis services, staffed by professional doctors, nurses, and personnel.

Wat Suttharam remains a site of deep spiritual significance, blending religious devotion, historical preservation, and community service. It continues to be a center for worship and cultural appreciation, drawing visitors to admire its sacred relics and participate in its philanthropic initiatives.
