When the road was cut, the original temple was located close to the newly cut road, Ratchadamnoen Nok Road. Therefore it is not appropriate to maintain Sanghakarma. Wat Parinayok was originally called Wat Parinayok. “Wat Phrom Surin” which is named after the temple's creator. And the creator of that temple was Chao Phraya Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni), when he was a young man at the beginning of the second reign. He held the title of Phra Brahma Surin around 1809 - 1811, Wat Phrom Surin.
Therefore, it was probably built during this period of 3 years by the Chao Phraya who built this temple, who was very prosperous in government service. who was later promoted to the title of Phra Brahma Surin It is Phraya Rajayotha. and is Phraya Kaset Raksa After that he became Chao Phraya Bodindecha. He was an important commander who fought in the east.
During the reign of King Rama III, Chao Phraya Bodindecha had faith in periodically renovating this temple. And there is a project to expand it more widely. His Majesty King Nangklao, King Rama III, had faith in granting many royal favors to the temple of his favorite general. and gave the temple the name "Wat Parinayok". Later, Chao Phraya Passed away in 1849. Wat Parinayok lacked patronage and therefore fell into disrepair for approximately 50 years.
In 1899, when His Majesty King Chulalongkorn, King Rama V, moved to a new temple. Therefore, he received royal patronage until this monastery was completed. Then graciously Invite Phra Suraphee to be the main Buddha image in the temple. along with presenting the name “Phra Surabhi Phutthaphim” which is the name of the main Buddha image in the ordination hall of Wat Parinayaka until today.
In addition to bestowing royal patronage on the physical side of the temple, He also invited the abbot who had strong expertise in government work from Wat Mahathat Yuwaratrangsarit, namely Phra Wisutthinayok to become an abbot By staying at a monastery which is a Chinese-style roofed building that His Majesty graciously commanded.
To be built as the abbot of this Parinayok temple received the Royal Wisungkhamsima in 1900 and when the monastery became more beautiful and orderly. Therefore, more people came to worship. The Singhaseni family and relatives still patronize this temple until now. Considered to be the temple of the family.
