Jao Khun Sawan Waranayok Building is the last Western architecture from the time of Sawankalok city preserved until today. The three-floor building was designed by Mr. Hokleang Soonanan, an architect that pursued his education in Germany.
 
Built by a Chinese engineer, Mr. Jinsae, it lied on the land where the house of Jao Khun Sawan Waranayok(1877-1965) once lied. Jao Khun Sawan Waranayok, a monk dean and an abbot, was interested in history and antiques, for instance, images of Buddha, pottery, etc.
 
The items donated by people were present in exhibit areas of the building, which were later given to the nation. The building, located towards the back of the temple, was later converted into a museum.
