The Palace of the City of Phatthalung It is located near Wat Wang. It was originally a government office and was the residence of the governor of Phatthalung. Currently, the remaining part is the old palace, built in the reign of Phraya Phatthalung (Noi Chantarojawong) as the governor. Later, the palace was passed down to Nang Prapai Mutamara, daughter of Luang Sri Worachat.
It was built in 1889 by Phraya Abhaiborirak Chakrawichitpipitphakdi (Net Chantarojawong), the son of Phraya Phatthalung who was the governor of Phatthalung. Current family heirs "Chantarojawong" has given this palace as a national treasure. And the Fine Arts Department has announced the registration as an ancient palace.
On July 16, 1992, and the new palace on May 31, 1983, open to visitors every day. Except Monday - Tuesday and public holidays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. entrance fee for Thais is 5 baht, foreigners are 30 baht.
