Ban Bueng Kae Archaeological Site Located at Ban Bueng Kae, Bueng Kae Subdistrict, Chana Chai District Located on a mound that looks quite oval. Width along the east - west about 450 meters, length along the north - south about 650 meters, surrounded by a ditch.
On the north side there is a three-tiered embankment. The width of the embankment is about 3 meters and the height is about 2.5 meters. There are 2 embankments on the west side and 1 left on the south side. Most of them have been destroyed for farming, road construction, and housing. The ditch has 2 floors. Above the inner layer, about 30 meters wide, and the outer layer about 55 meters wide, is called Bueng Chao Pu. The eastern ditch is a large pond. rectangular called Bueng Wa The western moat is still full of water, namely Bueng Khua and Bueng Nad. The current outer ditch is mostly rice fields.
Within the village area, many kinds of antiques were found, such as sema leaves, sandstone Buddha images, stone pedestals, fragments of clay pots, burned with low heat. There are both types of coarse texture. To the fine texture, decorate the skin with a rope pattern, a molding pattern, a scratch pattern, a red writing pattern. and white writing.
In addition, one stone inscription was found in Khmer script in Sanskrit language. Found on a mound in the middle of a field called Non Sang, about 800 meters from Ban Bueng Kae. This community has been inhabited since prehistoric times. Continuing to the Dvaravati period, about 2,000 - 1000 years ago.
