Wat Phichai Songkhram Wat Pichai Songkhram is located near Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Railway Station, located at 155 Village No. 11, Tambon Kramung, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. It is a plain along the Pa Sak River.
 
Built from about 2900 BC. It is an ancient temple since the Ayutthaya period. The name appears in the royal chronicles as "Wat Phichai", some of them write that "Wat Phichai" has changed its name to "Wat Phichai". "Wat Phichai Songkhram".
 
In the Rattanakosin period, around the reign of King Rama 4 or 5, when it was renovated because it was Abandoned temple in the late Ayutthaya period onwards The name is considered to be the reason that King Thon Buri has broken through the siege of the enemy from Phichai Temple. counted as winning.
 
Later, when the temple was renovated, the temple was renamed to honor and commemorate the place of this temple. Wat Pichai Songkhram is considered a temple of the kind that has been granted Wisung Khamsi since around 1920.
