Ban Kamean Rong Ong Phra, Dan Chang, Suphan Buri. This was an old timber hauling route from a time when the forests in this area were still open for timber concessions, which were closed in 1981 before being established as the Ban Pa Koo Lang Community Forest. The Khem Rong trail is divided into two sections. The first section, about 3 kilometers long, leads to Ban Khem Rong and Wat Khem Rong. This part of the trail is made up of dirt paths and rocky terrain, with uneven and steep slopes that lead to various hilltops. There are three significant steep hills before reaching the village. During the rainy season, the trail can be quite slippery, but in the dry season, it is not too difficult to traverse.

Ban Khem Rong, located in Moo 1, Ong Phra Subdistrict, Dan Chang District, Suphan Buri Province, is a historic timber hauling route from the time when logging was still permitted in this area, which was shut down in 1981 before the forest was designated as a community forest. The trail of Khem Rong is divided into two sections. The first section, about 3 kilometers, leads to Ban Khem Rong and Wat Khem Rong. The path consists of dirt roads and rocky, uneven terrain, ascending several hills, three of which are steep, before reaching the village. In the rainy season, the path can be slippery, but it is not too challenging in the dry season.

The second section of the trail continues from the village, weaving through bamboo forests and occasionally cutting through areas of upland rice fields. It then returns to the bamboo forest and gradually ascends further. The trail has several short, steep sections, some long and some short. During the rainy season, the forest is full of wild mushrooms that line the entire path. The final stretch leads to a steep slope of over 500-600 meters, which leads up to the Pa Koo Lang Ridge, located at the top of the mountain.

At the summit, which is approximately 800 meters above sea level, visitors can experience a cool breeze that gently hits the skin, helping to relieve the sweat and fatigue from the climb. Standing at this high point, one can enjoy a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of the surrounding hills, which appear dark and layered like rolling waves on the ocean. The Sirikit Dam in the distance reflects the sunlight in a red hue in the afternoon, situated in the western direction.

The bamboo forest begins to fade away, giving way to dry dipterocarp forests and pine trees. The landscape is further enriched with the addition of evergreen trees and unusual flowering plants, adding color and charm to the mountain top, making it a beautiful destination for nature lovers. Not far from here, visitors will find a rare two-needle pine forest, which is only found in the Putei area in Central Thailand, and it grows densely along this mountain range. During the winter season, this area is covered in sea of mist, offering a stunning and picturesque view, making it one of the most beautiful spots in Central Thailand.
