Tha Sadet Bird Sanctuary This is 15 kilometres from the town along the Suphan Buri-Don Chedi Route (Highway No. 322). This bird sanctuary is situated on the land of Mrs. Nok Punphueak and Mr. Jom with Mrs. Thanaom Malai. Originally, it was a fruit orchard with only a few birds. Over time, the number of birds increased steadily as the kind-hearted landowners allowed the birds to nest freely. Eventually, the population grew to tens of thousands.
For over 40 years, various bird species have called this sanctuary home, including Asian openbills, herons, egrets, and spoonbills. The government later developed the area into a tourist attraction for Suphan Buri Province under the supervision of the Forest Department. It was officially designated as the Tha Sadet Bird Conservation Unit.
The sanctuary now features a birdwatching tower that offers visitors a high vantage point for observing the birds. During the day, visitors can see many birds, while in the evening, flocks returning to their nests create a spectacular sight, darkening the sky. The best time to visit, when the bird population is at its peak, is during October.
