Khao Tammorat Passing through the grounds in Lop Buri province into the plains of the Pa Sak Basin in Phetchabun, a mountain with a broad base, cone-shaped spire, and the tallest in the neighborhood. It is clearly visible and is a prominent landmark on the west side of the Pa Sak River.
 
The villagers in the area call it "Khao Yai" but its official name is "Khao Yai". "Khao Tamorat" which is the name that can be found that it was called at least in the Ayutthaya period. and is an important mountain dating back to the time it was found that it was contemporary with the early states in the Pa Sak River Basin. "Muang Si Thep", which is a large and important ancient city in the territory of Thailand.
 
Khao Tamorat is located on the edge of a highland, undulating plain that continues from the Lop Buri Basin, which has an important feature of using water sources from underground springs that the locals call Sap, Chon or Phu. small stream abundant in the rainy season.
 
And continually with the plains of the Pa Sak River in the east, so there are rivers flows from the highlands on the edge of the hill to fill many forests into the Pa Sak River Si Thep City, which is on the other side of the Pa Sak River, is part of the plains and is a passageway of various streams. that flows from the mountains on the east side.
 
When viewed from the axis of the ancient city of Si Thep facing west. You will see Khao Tamorat in a triangular shape and it is clearly a domed ball mountain that is on the same axis as the Sri Thep Prang. This trait makes it known that The nature of the city planning and the construction of the Si Thep Prang is definitely related to Khao Tamorat in any way.
 
in fact The perimeter of the ancient city of Si Thep is not bounded within the boundaries of the ditch and kilometer. Because evidence such as religious sites and idols were found scattered both outside the city and in the city. the important thing is "Thamorat Hill Cave" that has to cross the Pa Sak River and about 12 kilometers west of Si Thep City appears to have carved a number of religious idols.
