Wat Ku Di Thong Bang Nam Chieow, Phrom Buri, Sing Buri. has been the center of Thai communities since the old times. Hence, there are numerous almost everywhere in Thailand, including Singburi province.
Wat Ku Di Thong is one of the temples in Singburi province. It is also the third meditation center of the province. The temple is clean and beautiful. There are two meditation pavilions and residents with built-in toilets. The temple is awarded as it is the model for other temples to follow.
Inside the temple’s area, there is a mondop (a square hall with pyramidal roof) resembling the twelve indented pagoda. The mondop was built in 1900 by Luang Pho Panya Uttamapichai, the abbot.
At the top of the mondop, the Lord Buddha’s relics are enshrined. Inside, the Lord Buddha’s metal footprint is worshipped. Moreover, there is Thaiphuan Cultural Center where daily items of local people in the old times are displayed, e.g. clothes, ornaments, farming and fishing tools and old boats.
Travel: From Bangkok, take highway 32 and at km. 125, turn left at 4 - way intersection at Phromburi district and go on about 300 m.
From the northern Thailand, at km.100 passing Wat Amphawan to pedestrian bridge at Asia Rd. and then turn right at 4-way intersection.
