Wat Hup Ta Khrot is located in Sam Roi Yot District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. Established in 1985, it has long been a place of reverence for local residents, covering an area of over 11 rai. The temple is renowned for its serene and beautiful atmosphere amidst nature.
 
The temple's highlight is the large Buddha statues of Luang Pu Toh and Somdet Phra Phutthacharn (Toh Phromrangsri) that are enshrined together, set against a backdrop of mountains, creating a peaceful and spiritually charged atmosphere. Inside the main hall, there is also a statue of Luang Por Sayob Mar, which attracts visitors to pay their respects and seek blessings for good fortune.
 
Wat Hup Ta Khrot is a secular temple under the Maha Nikaya sect, with Phra Kru Sophonthamrongkit as the well-known abbot, respected in the community.
 
Originally, Wat Hup Ta Khrot was a monk's resting place. It was officially established as a temple on December 4, 1985, and received royal permission for its boundaries on January 13, 1995, marking a significant milestone in the development of the temple.
 
The temple features various structures, including a meditation hall that is 12 meters wide and 21 meters long, as well as the main hall housing the statue of Luang Por Sayob Mar. Additionally, there are large Buddha statues of Luang Pu Toh, with a lap width of 5 meters and a height of 7 meters, and Somdet Phra Phutthacharn (Toh) with the same dimensions. Another statue of Luang Por So Tho is also enshrined, with a lap width of 7 meters and a height of 9 meters.
 
How to Get There To reach the temple from Bangkok, you can drive straight to Phetchaburi Province. From downtown Phetchaburi, pass the entrance to Cha-am Beach on the left side (traffic lights) and continue straight for about 25 kilometers to reach Hua Hin District.
 
From downtown Hua Hin, take Highway 3219 heading towards Sam Roi Yot District. Upon reaching kilometer marker 286.5, turn into Sam Roi Yot National Park, continue driving until the end of the road, where there will be signs directing you to Wat Hup Ta Khrot. Turn right and drive for another 2 kilometers to reach the temple.
 
Visiting Wat Hup Ta Khrot not only allows for the worship of sacred objects but also provides an opportunity to experience the calm and beautiful natural environment, helping to create a relaxed mind and recharge positive energy for daily life.
