Wat Suan Tan at Mahay Road Built by Queen Pathummavadi in 1770, the chedi has a beautiful shape. The ground floor has arches in all four directions. From a photograph in the National Archives. The image of Wat Suan Tan Chedi before the restoration during the reign of King Suriyaphong Pharitdet (corresponding to the reign of King Rama 5).
 
It is a chedi with a square base. reflecting the artistic influence of the Sukhothai period within the Viharn enshrined an important Buddha image. Phra Chao Thong Thip which King Tilokkarat of Chiang Mai was graciously pleased to build in 1992.
 
It is a large bronze Buddha image in the attitude of subduing Mara, lap width 10 feet, height 14 feet 4 inches. during the Songkran festival and is celebrated both day and night.
