Wat Thao Khot It is one of the oldest temples in the city. Inside the sanctuary, there are decorative paintings on the top of the temple on both sides. It is an art from the early Rattanakosin period. within the temple area There is a ruined chedi in the Sri Wichiya period. Behind the bell tower there is a wooden cubicle decorated with beautiful stencils that are worth seeing. Wat Thao Kot is a temple that has been in Nakhon Si Thammarat for a long time.
When I started to live in Nakhon Si Thammarat, I didn't see anything special except being an old temple. There is an afternoon market with lots of things to sell. There are traditional snacks to choose from. Currently, inside there is a large stucco Buddha image which is the original item. There is a storage cabinet on the left side of the Buddha image which my father said was originally a bookcase of monks. The church remains the same but the roof is still renovated The original one was a black roof.
inside the old church stucco buddha back against the edge of the wall There were bats all over the ceiling. The cubicle where father used to live It is now a newly built abbot's cubicle. The original one was similar to a cubicle next to it, which was made of wood, with cement stairs, and the rest of the back was already very dilapidated. My father said that my dormitory was still in the same place.
