Ban Kam Nan Din Dan Chang, Dan Chang, Suphan Buri. The northernmost district of Suphan Buri Province, Dan Chang, has undergone remarkable transformation over the past 30-40 years. Once a dense forest where sunlight barely reached the ground, it has now become a bustling urban center. However, traces of its rich forest and mountainous landscape still remain around the district.

One notable landmark is Ban Sao Yai, located in the heart of Dan Chang District. This grand house is supported by 204 massive wooden pillars, each over 1 meter in diameter and requiring two to three people to encircle. The pillars are more than 10 meters tall, making the construction a marvel of the district. In the future, if this house were to be established as a foundation or local museum, it would serve as an excellent opportunity for people to admire its magnificence and beauty. It could also become a repository of knowledge and history about Dan Chang District.

Mr. Din Jansuwan, also known as "Kamnan Din," was born in Nong Sadao Subdistrict, Sam Chuk District, Suphan Buri Province, on August 11, 1930. Now 79 years old, he became the subdistrict chief (Kamnan) of Nong Sadao in 1959 (B.E. 2502) at the age of 29, earning him the title Kamnan Din.

Kamnan Din is a multi-talented individual who established various businesses. He founded Suphan Timber Trading Company, which held logging concessions in Dan Chang District and operated a sawmill in Saraburi Province. He later entrusted this business to his second son, Mr. Boonchu Jansuwan, who is now the president of the Suphan Buri Provincial Administrative Organization. Boonchu also runs an international timber trading business in Myanmar and Cambodia under the name Sri Denchai Company.

Kamnan Din also engaged in cattle farming and established a farm of over 2,000 American Brahman cattle on more than 4,000 rai (approximately 1,600 acres). Additionally, he operated a rice trading business, now managed by his eldest son, Mr. Suchart Jansuwan.

Known for his expertise in cattle farming and timber trading, Kamnan Din is a respected figure in his community. He has been a patron of numerous public and private projects in Dan Chang District, including donating funds and land to establish educational institutions and creating educational foundations in Suphan Buri Province, contributing hundreds of millions of baht.

He has also provided financial aid and support for various local activities and donated Brahman cattle to underprivileged families to help them sustain their livelihoods. Kamnan Din was honored as a “National Exemplary Father” in 1988 (B.E. 2531) and recognized as “The Pride of Dan Chang” by the district residents. His story is destined to become a legend in the history of Dan Chang District.
