Khao Phra Bat National Park (The largest petrified wood fossil in Asia) is located at Village No. 7, Tak Ok Subdistrict, in the National Forest Reserve. Mae Salid-Pong Daeng Forest The entrance is at the main kilometer area at 443 Highway No. 1 (Haholyothin Road).
 
Travel to the area Take the casual route opposite Ban Tak Hospital. About 2.5 kilometers from Phaholyothin Road, the petrified wood found about 20 meters long and about 2 meters in diameter is the largest petrified wood. Since its discovery in Asia The petrified wood is a naturally occurring fossil.
 
It is caused by the remains of trees that have been replaced by groundwater which is a solution of silica. and the sedimentation gradually turned into a rock is to replace the molecule until it's all petrified. without any further changes in shape and structure Petrified wood is often embedded in the gravel layer.
 
Estimated to accumulate in the Quaternary Conton, about 2 million years old from the spread of sediment in the rest. It appears to have accumulated around the arch of the ancient Ping River. before it was reconditioned and transformed into the current Ping River.
