Samphung Cave Nong Wa Subdistrict has important archaeological sites such as Tham Samphung. Which is located in Village No. 12, Nong Wa Subdistrict, Khao Kan District, which the Fine Arts Department has registered as another important archaeological site. Tham Khao Samphung is a cave formed in a limestone mountain.
The location of the cave is about 16 kilometers from Khao Chakan from the west. There are two caves in the area, but the archaeological evidence is a new cave. which has the mouth of the cave facing west It is 15 meters high from the foot of the hill. At the mouth of the cave is a courtyard about 5 meters wide.
Inside the cave is a hall about 20 meters wide, 30 meters long, about 15 meters in height from the floor to the ceiling. There are stalagmites and stalactites arranged in the cave's main hall wall. At the mouth of the cave there is a wind breaking in and out. all the time keeping the air inside the cave have very good transfer.
