In 1990, the name was changed to the Satun Inland Fisheries Development Center. Due to the production of different types of freshwater fish species increased later in 1997, the Department of Fisheries has restructured and moved the Inland Fisheries Development Center to the Trang Freshwater Research and Development Center. Therefore, the name was changed to the Inland Fisheries Station in Satun Province.
