Pranburi Forest Park is located in Moo 1, Pak Nam Pran Subdistrict, Pranburi District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, covering an area of approximately 700 rai (1 square kilometer). It is under the management of the Phetchaburi Forestry Office and the Department of National Parks, Wildlife, and Plant Conservation. This area is rich in natural resources and plays a significant role in the preservation of the environment, making it an essential ecological site in Thailand.

Natural Beauty and Ecosystem Pranburi Forest Park is known for its pristine white sandy beaches that stretch for over 1 kilometer, located on the eastern side of the park. The area is shaded by a long stretch of pine trees, creating a peaceful and scenic atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the sea, Lion Island, Khao Takiab, and Khao Tao, which are popular tourist spots in Prachuap Khiri Khan.

One of the highlights of Pranburi Forest Park is the Mangrove Forest Nature Trail, a 1,000-meter elevated wooden walkway built to allow visitors to explore and closely observe the diverse mangrove ecosystem. Along the trail, there are informative signs that educate visitors about the natural resources and biodiversity of the area, including the various plant and animal species that inhabit the mangrove forest. The trail also provides an opportunity to observe the lifestyles of local communities living along the canals, where traditional practices are preserved.

Boat tours are another popular activity offered in the park. A small pier connects to the elevated walkway, allowing visitors to board boats and navigate the Pranburi River. This offers a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of the mangrove forest from the water, study the ecosystem, and witness the daily lives of the local people living along the riverbanks. The boat tours also provide insight into the diverse plant species found in the mangrove forests.

Pranburi Forest Park was originally established under the royal initiative of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, who designated the area as a national forest reserve known as Khlong Kao Khlong Khoi Forest, covering approximately 1,984 rai. The park consists of a rich mangrove forest and the Pranburi River flowing through its central area. Today, the Department of Forestry has declared the area as a forest park, with a current area of 700 rai.

The park is easily accessible by two routes: From the old Phetkasem Road, head from Hua Hin District for about 16 kilometers. At kilometer marker 246 (Ban Nong Hoi), there will be a sign directing you to turn left and head 4 kilometers to the park.

From the Chumphon-Pranburi Bypass, turn left at the junction before reaching Pranburi District and head towards Hua Hin for another 8 kilometers. At kilometer marker 246 (Ban Nong Hoi), turn right and follow the signs for another 4 kilometers to the park.

Pranburi Forest Park is not only a perfect destination for nature lovers and those seeking to learn about the environment, but it is also a vital conservation area for mangrove ecosystems and biodiversity. Visitors can engage in educational activities, experience natural beauty, and contribute to environmental conservation efforts.

With its rich natural resources and various activities, Pranburi Forest Park is an ideal spot for both those interested in ecological tourism and those eager to learn about environmental preservation. It offers an unforgettable experience that connects visitors to nature while promoting sustainable practices for the future.
